Finals of each season have been very much tough, smartly crafted and left a well impactful presence in the audience after its done showcasing the episode and after this very moment of even this season 6, we are now known that the stage has already been set for the next installment of Game Of Thrones is Season 7 to commence after a gap of almost 10 months in the 2017. But the wait is just unbearable and tempting, now that the winter has finally begun and there is one thing we presently could discuss is the last night’s stunning and overwhelming drama from “The Winds Of Winter”
The unofficial (Official) synopsis of episode 10 mentioned in the Game Of Thrones Emmy Submission documents, describe the episodes briefly says “Cersei faces her trial”, but as we all bet that she ain’t that simple lady to let go her gratitude shamefully once again in the name of religion hence we experience the biggest of Cersei’s way of actions. The show began with the entire main contender of the King’s Landing preparing for their much anticipated Trail at the Sept of Baelor. We see the King’s hesitancy toward the trail of his own mother yet strengthens for the ceremony and begins to leave. But Cersei has got her plans in orders; the King is stopped in his own chamber. Grand Maester Pycelle is fooled to get into the Qyburn’s chamber where he performs his little experiments and is greeted inside with the little butterflies of Qyburn.
Simultaneously the seven septum take their place in the Sept, Loras is brought in to confess, and all the related people the King of the Hand Kevan Lannister, Queen Margaery Tyrell and Lord Mace Tyrell with many other surrounded by the faiths join to witness Cersei-Loras trial. Loras confess his sins and renounce all of his noble responsibility and titles of House Tyrell, asking to join as one of the faith. Cersei in the Red Keep awaits her moment, after Loras is done with his part of Trail, Lancel is sent to get Cersei to the Sept. Outside the Sept Lancel finds a little boy entering a small gateway that carries away beneath the Sept. Lancel reaches a chamber and finds the barrel of wildfire in abundance already prepared to lit up with the help of burning candle that would automatically trigger the fire if not put out, but before he could attempt the little boy puts a knife into his stomach, into similar actions in the chamber of Qyburn Maester Pycelle is killed too by the little kids. But inside the Sept Margaery is smart enough to realize Cersei is up to something and advises to leave the Sept, But before anyone could act against Margaery’s advice the wildfire explosion takes place and the Sept of Baelor becomes the grave to the whole of Faith institute and few noble members of Tyrell.
Cersei watches the Sept getting blow up in wildfire from the Red Keep. Almost all of her enemies are done dead, picking up her wine she moves down to one of the chamber where we see Septa Unella being tied to a table. Cersei has her own way of torturing people and that she begin with spilling the jug full of wine onto her face, then confessing all of her sins and talking about the joys of doing thing to finally reminding her of the things she said to her earlier “my face would be the last thing you saw before you died” and ultimately hands her to the beast The Mountain with finally leaving the room saying Unella’s word “Shame, Shame, Shame.” But the outcome of Cersei’s action is yet to make an impact on her and her as well, as Tommen unable to feel like surviving further in such a violent, unbearable and mean world he decides to opt out and his way has always been quite underwhelming. Thus we see Tommen attempting a suicide, Qyburn notifies Cersei of her last son’s death and with no Sept of Baelor available for the funeral ceremony Cersei ask Qyburn to have Tommen’s corps burn and bury his ashes into what’s left of Sept.
Before the Lannister army could get back under the changed and highly terror King’s Landing, they halt at the Twins at the Freys. Walder Frey mistakes their latest Riverrun victory to be the result of Lannister-Frey armies collective efforts, but Jaime makes it very clear to him that Lannister can stand alone even without Freys because all they have done is lose the Castle of Riverrun graced by the victory of Lannister and even now need their help to get the castle back every time they lose it.
We then get our final scene with Sam and Gilly who reaches the Citadel where Sam is looking forward to becoming the Maester. At the table where Sam provides a recommendation sort of a latter which is the man does not consider it as the details from the latter does not match up to their official record, but still he provided an appointment with someone of a higher designation and also for time being is allowed to enter and use the great library, a huge hall covered with thousands of books in one place which was enough to catch up Sam’s breath for a while.
Heading to Winterfell, we see Jon and Melisandre chatting about quite something peaceful and old memories when Ser Davos makes his ferocious entry only to through that small toy a last belonging of Princess Shireen Baratheon. Instantly we see Melisandre’s face dropping down and Davos knows why, Jon ask her what’s the think Davos gave her, Davos ask her to answer Jon about who belongs that thing and there it is, Jon is known the truth about Shireen been burnt at stake. The outrageous Davos asks Jon to execute this lady for killing an innocent, Melisandre provide her side of explanation and pleads for mercy, to which Jon asks her to head south and not to return back to North and if she attempt, she much be killed then n there. Jon watches Melisandre leave from above the castle, Sansa enters in and Jon tells her to take over the Lord Chamber as he ain’t a legit Stark to be the Lord of The North and acknowledges Sansa’s role in the battle for bringing the Vale’s army in time because otherwise they wouldn’t have won the battle. Both argue and then promise to stick to each other n openly as they have got lost more enemy than before.
Saw once in the premiering episode “The Red Woman”, the Dorne had one more appearance before the season came to close, with Ellaria and her Sand Snake sister sits Olenna Tyrell anguished over losing all the members of her family and knowing who did it she is definitely after revenge from the Lannister. Because when Ellaria makes a point about forming an alliance with Dorne as they would provide both of them survival, Olenna says, “Survival is not what I’m after now.” Later we find out that the alliance is certainly formed against the Lannister but is actually a move been smartly planned and executed by Varys. Now we know his secret mission of visiting Westeros.
So with Daenerys finally prepared to sail toward Westeros, the Dorne and House Tyrell are already with them. Ok so coming to Meereen the first thing we experience is not so romantic farewell or to be honest it was the moment were a girl dumps a guy. In our case it Daario who is made to remain here in Meereen as Daenerys takes what’s her. Because according to her allying to greater houses she would have to get into marriage and lover won’t help much. Though nobody wept, they said farewell to each other and Daario known that such a smart advice much of none other than Tyrion. Providing his though over the case and failing to console her for her latest breakup, he promise Daenerys of his service and it is may be felt so honest that Daenerys name Tyrion Lannister the Hand of the Queen, to which he kneel and accept the position.
Getting back to the Twins, Wilder Frey is a long sitting and having is last meal of the day is brought a special Twin pie by the very girl who was quite flattered at Jaime earlier during the Frey-Lannister celebration. Frey asks her to call off his sons, in return to which she provide him a bit of his two filthy sons presence in his very pie she has brought which in fact has been prepared from the left over of their dead bodies. Walder looks at the girl standing next to her in a fears manner and watch her taking off her mask only to discover the youngest Stark girl Arya Stark of the family he killed. Arya introduce herself and then slit his throat holding his faces until he dies.
In the godswood sits another Stark girl, Sansa Stark who is finds Littlefinger coming over to her asking for something that we didn’t knew and as he explains her of a picture he often sees in his head is of her and him sitting on that Iron Throne. So now we see one more contender who desires to sit on the Throne, but unfortunately Petyr Baelish thinks that that help he brought during the Battle of The Bastards can get him anything he asks Sansa, but she refuse. Watching his plan of honest speaking unable to work he mentions, Jon’s illegitimacy to be the true King of the North and hence tempt her to take over the position of Queen of the North. But all of his manipulative tricks are torn apart as she walk away saying nothing.
Uncle Benjen’s mission in this season was only to escort Meera and Bran to the Wall, reaching nearby he makes his move back with the promise that he need to do a bit from this side to fight the dead. The place were both Bran and Meera were left, bran finds a weirwood tree nearby and decides to enter into a vision as ensures Meera that he need to control and be prepared because he is the Three-Eyed Raven. Inside the vision he reaches back into the moment he visited earlier at the Tower of Joy only to move inside the Tower to discover Lyanna Stark, Ned Stark’s abducted sister who lying on the bed is ill and covered half in blood. Lyanna pleads Ned that she would like to live a bit more and wants to be brave, but we see that she can’t as her health shows potential signs of her death but before Lyanna has something she would like Ned to take care of and it’s a little baby we suddenly realize that is none other but Jon Snow himself and is a child of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.
Presently moving back to Winterfell a court council has been organized among the Northern Houses, the House Arryn of Vale and Wildlings came together under one roof to decide who would be leading House Stark. Almost half of the northern houses present at the court didn’t participate in the Battle of the Bastard and yet they feel hesitant over to the chose the rightful leader of the North who would lead them to the terrorizing moment of winter which has begun. Thus Lyanna Mormont the 10 year old ruler of Bare Island makes a point with every Northern House only to convince them that Jon is the worth King. One by one each House pronounces Jon as the true “King in the North.”
Jaime along with his Lannister army and Bronn reach nearby King’s Landing and take a look at the demolished Sept of Baelor in the city, hence ride quickly. To notice that Cersei has taken the Throne and has proclaimed herself as the Queen of Seven Kingdome making Qyburn a Hand Of The Queen. Ladies in the show seems to take over the man, but what scare us are Cersei’s look and her ways of actions that look quite similar to the Mad King.
Finally sailing over the Narrow sea, Queen Daenerys Targaryen is headed towards Westeros. The unsullied, Dothraki, the three dragons and hundreds of ships with Targaryen and Greyjoy banners is enough to bring the whole of King’s Landing down. But as a matter of the fact it’s just going to Cersei Lannister now. Interesting would be to see two of the most fears houses come across each other. One the Lannister who has just sat on the Throne and another one whose whole ambition of her life has been to take back what’s her. Interesting would now be the show when it opens again with season 7 in 2017, we see bran finally making his way to the wall only to reach his brother Jon, hence he reaches home to Winterfell.
Arya kill list isn’t over yet, who else await her to die and where would she head after this is a question to think of. What lies after Jon’s known about his parentage? Will there be Daenerys-Jon anytime soon in Season 7? Only time would tell and after this finale, we have got about 10 months of such a time to speculate, bring up theories, pick out spoiler from the book etc.
